This is Fogo Island Artist Studios by Saunders Architecture. The idea behind the forms of various studios was to create a bold geometric structure contrasts, however, was silent on the stunning natural environment. The main concept behind the arrangement of artist studios was to observe the environment during its passage through various stations at which the studios will be in use: summer, fall and spring. Saunders Architecture designed the six art studios to be located at various sites in the Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Canada. The specially designed contemporary spaces, together with the buildings renovated traditional home of two parallel programs run by the Fire Island Arts Corporation. First, the residency program will be open to contemporary artists of various disciplines will be invited to spend a few months living and working in communities around Fogo Island. Here are three selected studios The Studio Long, The Tower Studio, Studio A bridge designed for Shorefast Foundation & The Arts of Fire Island Corporation.
